Our Story

The Psychiatric Group of Orlando was founded in 2004 by board-certified psychiatrist Dr. Ali El-Menshawi and Dr. Aysha Meloukheia to provide specialized psychiatric care and comprehensive mental health services to patients throughout Florida. The practice was created to deliver accessible, evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions in a compassionate and professional environment.

Guided by a shared commitment to high-quality, patient-centered mental health care, Dr. Ali El-Menshawi and Dr. Aysha Meloukheia established the Psychiatric Group of Orlando to expand access to specialized psychiatric treatment for individuals across Florida. Both founders are proud graduates of Alexandria Medical School in Egypt, bringing an international perspective, rigorous academic training, and a culturally informed approach to their psychiatric practice in Orlando and the surrounding communities.
